5.1.2. Stress
Stress appears as a sudden negative state or unpleasant surprise, and has a destructive impact on the organism. It also appears in two forms: as a stress the diseased is aware of, or as an unconscious stress. There are vocations creating a stressful state over a longer period, like that of a miner, diver or flight attendant. The organism can successfully control short stresses, but it cannot control a permanent stress created by a vocation over a longer period, and consequently a disease appears sooner or later, in medicine known as ‘occupational disease’.
Stress is one of the causes for most of the serious diseases, such is cancer, and therefore, in treating them, therapists must pay special attention to the causes and consequences of stress.
We heal stress with transformations and simultaneously enable the patient to learn about and control a stress state.
