10.1.3. Alcohol Abuse
Alcohol influences the organism in a similar way to drugs, only with lower intensity and lesser consequences. Alcohol addition is often moderate, selfcontrolled, and the addicted are successfully cured by classical medicine. Alcohol frequently causes the development of different diseases, with the liver disease being especially dangerous and possibly fatal.
In the past, doctors recommended a glass of wine at lunch, but today a person drinking a glass of wine per day is already considered to be an alcoholic.
