4.1. Physical Fitness
The contemporary way of life in the post-industrial period, especially in an urban environment, frequently hinders the physical activity of individuals. We go to work by car, work in offices, sit, watch television, do not worry about heating and the like: everything around us is adjusted so that our physical activity is reduced. In such a way of life the human organism loses its fitness, which shows in any physical action. People get tired quickly, physical work is an effort, they sweat as they walk, especially upstairs. Therefore, the body needs certain activities to regain its fitness.
Any sport, aerobics or other form of organised physical activity, mountaineering and the like, contributes to a better physical fitness of the organism. We must be aware that sports and other disciplines have a certain goal, that they develop individual functions of the organism, therefore, the activity programme must be completed with other recreational or sports methods to set the body in full motion.
As an addition to physical activity, the largest positive contribution is provided by walking or jogging in nature. These are appropriate for all structures of the population, they set the whole organism in motion, they can be adjusted to any location and time, and they are suitable for young and old people.
